National Memory Screening Program

On November 4th, 2015, Copperfield Hill will be participating in the National Memory Screening Program that is put on by The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.  Launched in 2003, this annual program provides free and confidential memory screenings throughout the country on an ongoing basis.  In 2014 alone, across the country, over 275,000 people were screened.*

If you are concerned about your own memory loss, or possibly that of a loved one, please consider visiting Copperfield Hill on November 4th.  Screenings will be held from 8am-12pm in the Manor Community Room.

These screenings are simple and safe “healthy brain checkups”.  There is no diagnosis and it is all completely confidential.  The test consists of a series of questions and tasks and takes approximately 10 minutes.  The screening is open to anyone.  Maybe you have concerns about your memory health or have dementia that runs in your family – or maybe you just want a bench mark for future comparisons.

Use this as an opportunity to learn more about your brain health and healthy aging.  We hope you will join us.  Please visit www.NationalMemoryScreening.org for more information.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call, Charlotte Hoes at 763-277-1008.

Thank You to our First Responders

Last Friday, September 11, 2015 Copperfield Hill invited the  First Responders who work in our community, to join us for a morning of fellowship, prayer and breakfast.

It was a beautiful day here in Robbinsdale and we welcomed many paramedics and police officers from North Memorial and the city of Robbinsdale. Todd Klein, Executive Director, told the tables of police officers and paramedics, “We just want to say, ‘thank you’. Pastor Jan Hartsook followed with a prayer for the continued dedicated service and safety for all of those responding to the needs of our community.

It was fun for all of the staff and the residents to host this outstanding group of civil servants.  Again, to all of our First Responders, thank you for all that you do to protect and serve our community.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Hello All.  The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is getting closer.  Here at Copperfield, we have worked hard to raise the level of awareness about the disease by participating in this annual event.  Our goal is to raise $2000 – we are over half way there.  Through bake sales, popcorn sales and just passing the hat we are making our way to our goal.  I want to encourage all of you to go to:  alz.org/walk.  This is where you will find information about the walk.  Our team name is “Copperfield”.  There you will also be able to find individual team member pages.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm.  The walk is on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Target Field in Minneapolis.  Come join us!
