Happy New Year !

Happy New Year to all of you from Copperfield Hill.  2014 was a busy and fulfilling year at Copperfield.  We are all looking forward to 2015.  We celebrated Christmas with many concerts, activities and a visit from St. Nick, himself.  As we look ahead to 2015, we will continue to focus on the things that we, as a community, consider the main foundations to successful senior living.  Those are quality care and a warm and inviting environment that greets our residents every day.

Our residents will continue to be engaged this year with the wide variety of activities they will have to choose.  From plays and concerts, to bingo and luncheons, our residents have many ways to get out and see and engage in the greater Robbinsdale community.  In 2014 we had a group participate in the monthly “Silver and Gold” luncheon hosted by New Hope Church.  This outing always includes a delicious luncheon and a fabulous concert.  What a great way to spend an afternoon. In its 45th year, Leisure Age will be coming to its retirement at ELIM Church.  Copperfield Hill has been a major participant at this event as long as our doors have been open.  As ELIM retires the program, Copperfield Hill will adopt its platform with a new twist.

Our Memory Care Support Group will begin the year with the topic:  “New Year, New Beginnings”.  I know that I learned many things over the holiday season about my loved one who has dementia.  If you have a loved one with memory loss, please consider joining us.  We meet the 4th Monday of the month at 6pm.

Those are just a few things we are working on here at Copperfield Hill.  However, the most important message is that we provide  a wide variety of services and a spectrum of pricing at Copperfield.  Our commitment is to the seniors we serve.  We want to maintain  a thriving, successful environment that is customized to each senior’s individual needs.

Please call for a tour and lunch, 763-277-1008.  It will be a pleasure to meet you.

December Greetings

Holiday Greetings from the Marketing Department. I hope that everyone enjoyed November. We went from Indian summer to full blown winter! Our office has been very busy with inquiries and tours; many wanting to visit and move. It has been wonderful getting to meet so many. November was Election Day and Veteran’s Day. We welcomed many from the community to share our Veteran’s Day luncheon and program. Our very own, Wendall Willis was featured in the Sun Post, as he told his story of guarding the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”. It was a wonderful afternoon as we gathered in the dining room to pay tribute to all our veterans. However, we didn’t get through Thanksgiving before the holiday mail and festivity planning began. Bachman’s arrived to take away the orange and yellow leaves of fall. They traded that for the beautiful evergreens that now flank the front and back entrances. Joseph and Lucas braved the cold and wind to get the Christmas lights up. The building will look fantastic. Mark your calendars for Breakfast with Santa on December 13th at 9am.  The morning is sure to be a delightful one.  As Christmas approaches, and we all ready for the New Year, I would just like to say what a wonderful time I have had this year at Copperfield Hill.  I am looking forward to enjoying the sights and sounds of the holiday season.  I hope you will too.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
